Drawn from an album of cut-paper flowers made around 1835 by a British artist known only as Ellen W., this pattern carries the quiet precision of another era. Working in the tradition of Mary Delany - who at the age of 72 began creating botanically faithful "paper mosaicks" from hand-coloured tissue- here, Ellen built each flower petal by petal — paper pistils and cut stems, delicately assembled against a deep black ground. The discovery of this work, as meticulous as it is poetic, becomes today a collaboration across two centuries, steeped in mystery.
Ellen mural by Bien Fait, from the BF Super Nature collection, designed by Cécile Figuette. Offered in 2 colorways.
