This GP & J Baker Original, first created in 1935 by textile artist Joseph M. Doran, has been artfully reimagined as a stunning embroidered linen. The original design was based on botanical drawings published in Curtis’ ‘Flora Londinensis’ between 1777 and 1798 which recorded plants growing within a ten mile radius of London. This fabric features fern motifs that are beautifully embroidered into a natural linen ground.
Collection: Burford is a classic, timeless collection of stunning embroideries inspired by GP & J Baker’s rich heritage and its world renowned archive of decorative documents. The painstakingly intricate technique of embroidery is superbly explored throughout the collection which features romantic stylised floral motifs and airy, Indienne influences.
