Inspired by a fragment of early 18th century wallpaper which is still preserved on a wall behind the scenes at Hampton Court Palace and an original document of this design held in GP & J Baker’s own archive. This whimsical design depicts two men on horseback amongst birds of prey and trees laden with acorns and pinecones. A majestic peacock appears in front of a hunting lodge with smoke billowing from its chimney. Shown here in the Emerald colorway.
