Tulipa Velvet Fabric is part of the Jean Monro collection, a living archive of English prints that Jean Monro first offered to the trade in 1981.
Taken from a very “painterly” document found in France (but probably not of French origin) the scale was increased and then printed on close pile cotton velvet to produce the spectacular and dramatic effect of the finished cloth.
Specifications: Content: Velvet. Width: 53.5" (136 cm). Vertical repeat: 39.8" (101 cm). Abrasion: 25,000 Martindale rubs. Sold by the yard (price upon request).
