Aztec Wallpaper
Aztec Wallpaper
Aztec Wallpaper by Watts 1874, the London house founded in 1874 by the Gothic Revival architects G.F. Bodley, Thomas Garner and George Gilbert Scott Jr.
This pattern really stands up for itself: it was created by Augustus Pugin (who notably designed the furnishings for the interior of Westminster Palace) as a wallpaper for the library ceiling of Great Tew Manor, Oxford. Medieval solar lances burst through Aztec's vivid colors: each wheel is like an exploding star as every spoke thrums with energy against a fiery sky.
