Named after Eledone, a genus of small octopuses native to the Mediterranean, Eledone fuses the fine, cellular texture of octopus skin with the speckled particulate of Venetian terrazzo. Its dotted composition creates a layered, tactile surface in which biology and architecture converge to create a new kind of animal print. The pattern speaks to the depth and complexity of Venice's enduring craftsmanship and its continual dialogue with the sea. Inspired by macroscopic views of octopus skin in combination with Venetian terrazzo floors, Eledone functions as a textured field, lending depth and material presence to interiors.
