Adapted from a shirt Nicky Haslam acquired decades ago, Pearl River has a watery, glazed quality that he has described as resembling silvery minnows swimming among oyster shells. It is a design of great originality unexpected in its origin, impeccable in its execution, and entirely characteriztic of Haslam's singular eye for beauty in unexpected places.
