TRH5780 Aizome Shima Indigo Pinstripe Cotton Chambray
A crisp, airy shima (縞, stripe) shirting: fine ai (藍, indigo) pinstripes on a natural white ground, woven in Japan's historic Bingo weaving region. Thin and breathable, it has the clean, classic look of a well-made Japanese shirt.
Use it for shirts, blouses, pajamas, sheer-look curtains and linings, or to back an indigo quilt.
Specifications: Content: 100% Cotton. Width: 45 inches (115 cm). Hand: lightweight. Technique: Yarn-dyed shima (stripe), plain weave. Origin: woven in Japan.
Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, separately. Natural indigo can transfer color with friction, especially when new. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade. Professional cleaning recommended for upholstered pieces.
Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
