TRH5781 Zakuro-Zome and Aizome Cotton Chambray
A heavy, structured chambray woven with aizome (藍染め, natural indigo dyeing) and zakuro-zome (柘榴染め, pomegranate-dyed) warp yarns across an undyed weft. The mix reads as a soft heathered blue that flashes white or pale gold as the light moves, a quiet surface reminiscent of snow drifting in the wind.
Strong enough for jackets, workwear, bags and upholstered seats; soft enough for shirts and cushions.
Specifications: Content: 100% Cotton. Width: 39 inches (100 cm). Weight: about 8.2 oz per linear yard (255 g per meter). Hand: medium-heavy weight. Technique: Yarn-dyed chambray, plain weave. Origin: woven in Japan.
