TRH5786 Kasuri Chijimi Fine Cotton Crepe

A summer cloth in the chijimi (縮み, crepe) tradition: fine yarns and a hard-twisted weft give a crinkled, cool surface that lifts away from the skin, with streaks of kasuri (絣, ikat-dyed) yarn running through it. Thicker threads in the weft add strength without weight.

Available in deep kon (紺, indigo) or kinari (生成り, ecru). Slight natural stretch from the crepe twist. Beautiful for shirts, blouses, robes, airy curtains and summer bedding.

Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, separately. Natural indigo can transfer color with friction, especially when new. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade. Professional cleaning recommended for upholstered pieces.

Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
