TRH5791 Senshu 2.5-Layer Gāze Cotton Gauze
Woven in Senshu (泉州, southern Osaka), one of Japan's two great towel-weaving centers, this 2.5-layer gāze (ガーゼ, cotton gauze) is washed after weaving rather than before, which gives it an exceptionally soft, fluffy, cloud-like loft.
In sarashi (晒し, bleached white) or the rarer unbleached kinari (生成り, ecru). Wonderful for throws, bedding, baby blankets, robes, towels and relaxed shirts.
Specifications: Content: 100% Cotton. Width: 35 inches (90 cm). Weight: about 6.5 oz per linear yard (200 g per meter). Hand: medium weight. Technique: Multi-layer gauze, washed after weaving. Origin: woven in Japan. Colorways: TRH5791.A Sarashi Bleached White, TRH5791.B Kinari Ecru.

Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
