TRH5793 Bingo Fushi-Ori Kinari Natural Cotton
TRH5793 Bingo Fushi-Ori Kinari Natural Cotton
Bingo fushi-ori (備後節織) comes from the Bingo region of Hiroshima and Okayama, famous for its cotton weaving. This undyed kinari (生成り, natural ecru) version shows the character of the cloth most clearly: a very soft hand and the gentle irregularity of fushi (節, slub) yarns.
A beautiful neutral for curtains, cushions, slipcovers and garments, and an ideal base for hand dyeing, shibori or block printing.
Specifications: Content: 100% Cotton. Width: 39 inches (100 cm). Weight: about 5.8 oz per linear yard (180 g per meter). Hand: medium weight. Technique: Fushi-ori (slub-yarn weave), plain weave. Origin: woven in Japan.
Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, separately. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade; do not tumble dry. Professional cleaning recommended for upholstered pieces.
Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
