TRH5802 Takashima Chijimi Heavy Cotton Crepe
Takashima chijimi (高島ちぢみ) is the celebrated cotton crepe of Takashima on Lake Biwa. This version is woven with thicker yarn than the standard cloth, for a fuller crinkle and more body while keeping crepe's cool, springy touch.
Cooler than jersey and very comfortable. Great for shirts, sleepwear, summer bedding and airy curtains. Do not tumble dry.
Specifications: Content: 100% Cotton. Width: 46 inches (116 cm). Hand: lightweight. Technique: Chijimi (crepe), hard-twisted yarns. Origin: woven in Japan.
Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, separately. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade; do not tumble dry. Professional cleaning recommended for upholstered pieces.
Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
