TRH5803 Men-Asa Fushi-Ori Cotton-Hemp Kinari
TRH5803 Men-Asa Fushi-Ori Cotton-Hemp Kinari
A half-and-half men-asa (綿麻, cotton and hemp) cloth woven as fushi-ori (節織, slub-yarn weave). The asa (麻, hemp) gives a cool, dry hand and a faint translucency; the cotton keeps it soft.
Undyed kinari (生成り, ecru), ideal for unlined curtains and café panels, lampshades, table linens, summer garments, and as a base for indigo dyeing.
Specifications: Content: 50% Cotton, 50% Hemp. Width: 39 inches (100 cm). Weight: about 4.2 oz per linear yard (130 g per meter). Hand: lightweight. Technique: Fushi-ori (slub-yarn weave), plain weave. Origin: woven in Japan.
Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, separately. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade; do not tumble dry. Professional cleaning recommended for upholstered pieces.
Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
