TRH5807 Fushi Shimofuri Thick Indigo Chambray
A thick indigo chambray with a shimofuri (霜降り, "frost-fall" marbled) surface: slub (fushi, 節) yarns catch the dye unevenly, leaving pale flecks across the deep blue like frost on a dark field.
Soft yet sturdy. Use it for jackets, shirts, skirts, bags, cushions and curtains.
Specifications: Content: 100% Cotton. Width: 43 inches (110 cm). Weight: about 8.2 oz per linear yard (255 g per meter). Hand: medium-heavy weight. Technique: Slub chambray with shimofuri (marled) effect. Origin: woven in Japan.
Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, separately. Natural indigo can transfer color with friction, especially when new. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade. Professional cleaning recommended for upholstered pieces.
Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
