TRH5812 Sanshoku-Jima Three-Color Indigo Stripe Cotton
TRH5812 Sanshoku-Jima Three-Color Indigo Stripe Cotton
A chic sanshoku-jima (三色縞, three-color stripe) in the urbane spirit of Edo iki (粋, understated style): fine bands of dark indigo, green-indigo and kaki-nezumi (柿鼠, persimmon gray) woven in indigo-dyed cotton.
An easy, wide medium weight for cushions, upholstered seats, curtains, shirts and bags.
Specifications: Content: 100% Cotton. Width: 47 inches (119 cm). Weight: about 7.4 oz per linear yard (230 g per meter). Hand: medium weight. Technique: Yarn-dyed shima (stripe), indigo dyed, plain weave. Origin: woven in Japan.
Care: Hand wash or gentle machine wash cold, separately. Natural indigo can transfer color with friction, especially when new. Do not bleach. Dry flat in the shade. Professional cleaning recommended for upholstered pieces.
Ordering: Sold by the yard, with a 1-yard minimum; multiple yards are cut as one continuous length. Natural dyes and hand weaving vary slightly from lot to lot, so we recommend a sample for color-critical projects.
